For over 35 years Flexible Automation has been integrating robotics and producing custom assembly machines. Our focus is on fastening, dispense, and material handling applications.

We offer numerous pre-engineered automation cells that offer greater performance, at a reduced price, with faster delivery to your facility. What makes us unique is our in-house design, programming, machine shop, and service departments.

Located in Southeast Michigan, our business operates in a modern, air-conditioned, 24,000 square foot facility. We utilize a sophisticated ERP software package to manage your orders along with the latest CAD and CAM software.

Our company averages 70 machine projects per year, which range in price from $25,000 to $2 million.  At any given time, 80% of the machines on the floor are for repeat customers.

Our History

Flexible Automation, Inc.’s machining and fabrication department has supported its custom machine building and robotic integration services since 1983. We have been building precision tooling, product fixtures and fabrications for over 35 years. In 2014 due to the demand from other companies for FAI’s fabrication and machining services we added a 2nd shift. Then, in 2018 we moved into our own facility. As a separate division we offer our machining and fabrication services to other manufactures who are looking to outsource and who would like to leverage our capabilities.
