Flexible Automation designed and built a robotic dispense cell for dispensing a gasket material on an automotive door seal. A Fanuc LR Mate 200iD along with a Graco Therm-O-Flow supply system and a Graco Precision Continuous Flow Meter applies butyl mastic in the channel of a rubber automotive door seal. The Automation Station features an A and B side fixture. Each fixture supports three door seals each. Banner laser displacement sensors are used to confirm that the product is properly oriented in the nest. The station is equipped with a heated-parking dock and purge cup for fast startup and easy maintenance.
